Cupcake Crazy

New Zealand is in the throes of a baking revival. I found this delicious jaffa cupcake at a local farmer's market.

You can see it presented here on a Crown Lynn saucer - another classic piece of kiwiana.

A fondness for fondue

We tried out our fondue set last weekend. A delicious fondue of pricey imported cheese (don't mention the carbon footprint!) with home-baked bread and local vegetables. And with a bit of kiwi ingenuity, we lit the fondue with vodka rather than smelly paraffin. Mmm...
